Trust & safety

A marketplace only works if both sides can rely on it. This is what we do, and what we ask of you.

Verification

Every account verifies email and phone. Taskers verify government ID with a live selfie before their first payout. DBS, trade registration, waste-carrier and insurance badges are reviewed by our team against the public register.

Payment protection

Payments are processed by Stripe. The tasker is the merchant of record; we never hold your money ourselves. Funds are released only when the poster confirms completion, or automatically 7 days after the tasker requests release if the poster is silent. Refunds always go back to the original card.

Liability protection

Eligible in-person tasks carry third-party liability cover for accidental damage to the poster's property caused by the tasker while performing the task. It excludes faulty workmanship, vehicles, cash jobs and tasks paid off-platform. Policy summary.

Moderation

Automated checks flag scams, prohibited work and contact-detail sharing before hiring. A human reviews every flag. Nobody is banned by an algorithm: every restriction comes with a reason and an appeal route.

Disputes

Either side can open a dispute while a task is in progress. Payment stays on hold, both sides add evidence in the task chat, and a person decides within 5 working days: release, refund or split.

Reporting

Anyone can report a task, profile, message or review without an account. We respond within 2 working days and faster for safety issues. This is our Online Safety Act complaints route.

Prohibited tasks

We don't list gas work, notifiable electrical work without a registered electrician, asbestos, scaffolding, tree felling, passenger transport, food preparation for sale, anything requiring a licence the tasker doesn't hold, academic work for submission, anything illegal, and adult services. Waste removal requires an Environment Agency waste-carrier badge. Full list.

Ranking

Offers are shown in the order they arrive. Taskers appear on category and location pages ordered by number of reviews, then completed tasks, within the search radius. Nobody can pay to rank higher. We publish this because the Platform-to-Business Regulation requires it, and because you should know.

Staying safe

Keep payment on-platform. Off-platform payments are not protected and are against our terms.
Don't share phone numbers or addresses before hiring. They are shared automatically once an offer is accepted.
Check badges, completion rate and reviews. New taskers can be great, but start them on lower-risk jobs.
For anything involving children or vulnerable adults, require the DBS badge.
