Terms of service
Last updated 6 September 2026. These documents are a launch draft and should be reviewed by a solicitor.
These terms govern use of the platform by posters and taskers. Summary of the key points (the full terms should be reviewed by a solicitor before launch):
- We are a marketplace. The platform connects posters with independent taskers. The contract for the service is between the poster and the tasker. We are not a party to it, not an employer and not an agency.
- Taskers are self-employed. Taskers set their own prices, choose which tasks to offer on, may decline any job and may send a suitably qualified substitute with the poster's consent. There is no exclusivity.
- Fees. Posters pay no platform fee. Taskers pay the service fee shown on the fees page, deducted at payout. Fee changes require 30 days' notice to taskers.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. The tasker is the merchant of record. The poster's payment is captured at acceptance and released to the tasker when the poster confirms completion, on the outcome of a dispute, or automatically 7 days after the tasker requests release with no response. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
- Cancellation. Either side may cancel before the task starts at no charge; the poster is refunded in full. Consumers have a statutory 14-day cancellation right for services contracted at a distance, which they waive in proportion to work done when they ask for the service to start early.
- Reviews. Only parties to a completed, paid task may review each other. Reviews are double-blind for 14 days. Incentivised, fake or misleading reviews are prohibited and removed; see the reviews policy.
- Prohibited tasks and conduct. See the prohibited tasks list and trust and safety page. Taking payment off-platform for a task found here is a breach.
- Restrictions and appeals. We may restrict accounts for breaches. We give reasons, 30 days' notice where the law requires it for business users, and an appeal route via the report form.
- Ranking. Our ranking parameters are published on the trust page.
- Liability. Our liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months, except where the law does not allow limitation.
- Governing law. England and Wales.
