What does it cost to be a tasker?
Nothing to join, and nothing to make an offer, we never charge for leads. On tasks you win through the marketplace there is a service fee that falls as you earn more, from 20% at the starting tier to 12.5% at the top, plus VAT. Work you bring yourself, repeat clients and your own customers, is 0% commission, with only a small payment-processing charge.
When do I get paid?
The poster pays by card when they accept your offer. Once they confirm the task is complete, the money is released to your bank account. If a poster goes quiet, payment auto-releases 7 days after you request it.
Do I need insurance or checks?
You need to verify your identity and payment details. For regulated work (electrical, waste, working with children) you need the relevant registration or a DBS check, which we help you add as a badge. Eligible tasks carry third-party liability protection.
Am I employed by the platform?
No. Taskers are self-employed and set their own prices, choose which tasks to offer on, and can decline any job. Taskerama is a marketplace, not an employer or an agency.
Do I have to pay if a poster cancels?
No. We never charge a tasker when a poster cancels, and it does not count against your completion rate.
Can I bring my existing customers?
Yes, and it's free. Send them an invoice or booking link from your dashboard: they pay by card, you get the same payment protection, and we charge 0% commission.
